Kyle Harrell -- Take 2

This is my second photo shoot with Kyle and I had a ton of fun! We had Japanese tourists stop and take selfies with me in the middle of my shoot and also have a few cat callers from cars that passed by. All in all, had a blast!

These are just a few of the photos we took, but the blog post would have been too long for this one, so I will post more later and randomly. :)

FStop Photography - Joe Cruz

Below is my first ever studio shoot. I was a little inexperienced in this one because I have always done outdoor shoots, but I really love this pictures.

Joe made is such a fun time and his main goal was to capture my eyes. I loved shooting with him that I went back a second time. (will be posted later)

Enjoy. :)

Jennifer Parker - Session 2

So, since my first shot was awesome, I had to work with Jennifer again. We got some of my favorite photos in this shoot.

Take a look.

Henry Taitano

When I did my first shoot with Jennifer, (post before this), I volunteered to be a part of that shoot so that the photographers could test some new lighting equipment. I was the only model that volunteered so I got to work with three different photographers. One of them being the awesome Henry. He is a skilled photographer and knows exactly how he wants his pictures to look. I liked his direction and plan on shooting with him again soon. Here are a few shots that he snapped while out.

Kyle Harrell Photography - Session One - Graffiti

This  was one of the FIRST photo shoots I did with the awesome Kyle. He picked an old abandoned navy building that was covered in graffiti. It was an awesome time and I loved all of the photographs he did. His info will be below and if you wanna add me on facebook or instagram, so will my info.

He did an awesome job teaching me how to pose and look good for the camera. I had an awesome experience.

If you wanna go check out his other work below is his facebook page.

Hello :)

Hey everyone,

Whether you are a member of my family, a friend, co-worker, or just stumbling upon my page, I would like to welcome you to my online portfolio.

Now, let me just explain a few things on why I created this page:

1.) To talk about my adventures and modeling
2.) Display my portfolio
3.) To keep up with all of my shoots
4.) Anything else I wanna do. :)

First off, let me tell you a little about my self.

My name is Kala (pronounced like Kayla but without the "y") and I am 23 years old. I am married to my best friend and we are traveling the world together because he is enlisted. I am a short girl, standing at about 5 foot 2 inches and have a small frame. I am always changing my hair color and love to explore new things.

Now, when I was younger, I did not think I would have the slightest chance of modeling at all. With my height being barely above the ground, I thought it was way out of reach. (haha, get it?)  That was until I moved to Guam. The modeling business here works differently than it would in the states. In order to get paid, you have to be pretty well known and be signed with an agency. So, I started looking around and seeing what photographers wanted to work with me. To my luck, I found some awesome people that did some amazing photos. This is when I decided that I would build up my portfolio and see what chances I had of making it, despite my lack of experience and height.

Right now, I am not anywhere near where I wanna be, but just getting the nerve to be able to say I can do this was a big step for me. It has always been a dream to be a model for me. I love the way that the photographer and model can express emotion, a story or theme with a simple photograph or series of photographs. That is why I want to model, and I'm glad I jumped on it.

So, I am going to be posting parts of my portfolio here and keeping y'all updated.

Lots of love <33333
